PPTP (Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol) VPN is supported by the Android mobile system by default, without a need to install additional applications.
Create a connection- Open Settings .
- In the "Wireless Networks" section, click "More ...".
- Select “VPN” and click the plus sign in the upper right corner of the screen.
Get authorization data and a list of servers by entering an access code below. Enter this information in the opened window of your device.
You can receive the code itself after payment or by requesting a free trial period.
- Network Name : any, for example, “hidemy.name VPN” or the name of the server that you will use.
- Type : PPTP
- Server address : IP address of the server, which looks like numbers separated by dots.
- PPP Encryption (MPPE) : place a checkmark.
Click Save. Then, select the created connection and you will be prompted for a username and password:
- User name: your access code, which is 12-16 digits.
- Password : the default is 4 digits, but you can think of a more complex one.
Setup is complete. You can now connect.
Note: After connecting, check your IP address. It must change. If this does not happen, double-check the correctness of the entered data.
With an active VPN connection, a key icon will be displayed in the upper left corner.
To disable:
- Select the created VPN connection.
- In the window that appears, click Disconnect.
Select VPN serverYou can either create new connections with other servers or edit an already created connection by simply entering other servers' IP addresses.
To change the server of an already created L2TP connection:
- Click on the line with the name of the connection.
- In the menu that appears, select "Edit Profile."
In the “Server address” field, specify the IP address of another VPN server and click Save . The current list of servers is always available at the link on our website.
